Digital Think Tank

GraceX digital think tank works on pressing problems of current times.  Our research combined with out of box thinking presents a differing perspective for some of the most challenging problems faced by human civilizations across globe.  We borrow ideas from various fields and extensively use primary as well as secondary data sources along with combination of field experiments, statistical thinking, science, IT, engineering, management concepts and constructs to propose cutting edge solutions to address humanity’s exponential problems. Since we are self-funded, we encourage people from various walks of life to support us financially with their donations.  We welcome financial support from companies and foundations.  We maintain complete financial transparency for collected funds and engage with multiple stakeholders at all levels to advocate changes in policy frameworks.

Deterministic models for diversifying Canadian economy.

Research & scientific study with prescriptive solutions.

Canadian economy is a natural resources based economy. Over the years successive Canadian administrations have proposed and executed upon different policy solutions in order to diversify economy with limited or negligible successes. In this research study we look at empirical evidence and use models to propose alternate solutions.

Global warming & climate change : Alternative approaches to carbon tax.

Research study with policy framework.

In this study we use models, computer based simulations and meta analysis approach to examine issue of carbon tax in context of sphere of global warming and climate change. Our approach is to use examine this whole issue from neutral perspective using some of latest research techniques. We look a this issue from micro and macro economic perspectives while taking into account product and information supply chains.

Behavioral and scientific approaches for addressing rising health care costs in US and Canada.

Research & scientific study with prescriptive solutions.

In this study we rely on interdisciplinary approach to delve into problem of rising healthcare costs across USA and Canada. We also look at best healthcare practices and models across globe, segregate them, define and aggregate common parameters. Canadian healthcare is mainly nationalized so pros and cons of this approach is taken into consideration while using mathematical models, computer simulations and scientific approaches to propose separate healthcare policy frameworks for US and Canada.

Innovative methods to control rising education costs in USA.

Research study with policy framework.

In this study we define the current US educational ecosystem along with main stakeholders who benefit from “status quo.” We focus on empirical data and develop evidence based model and plug various categories into it. We discuss best global practices and borrow specific parameters which can work in US ecosystem. Finally, we define an action framework along with descriptive steps to execute it to achieve desired outcomes.

Green Technologies for solving water crisis in drought hit areas.

Research & scientific study with prescriptive solutions.

Water is a scarce resource in many parts of the world. Even in advanced economies like USA, there are states like California which struggle with this issue to an extent. There are other parts in the world like Cape town, South Africa and many parts of India where water supply is a huge problem from daily use consumption as well as industrial use and irrigation perspective. In this study, we focus on gathering data, defining problem and bringing root cause issues to forefront. We discuss application of green technologies in this specific context and segregate it further across technology, policy framework, operational, cultural and localization dimensions. We plan to use computer simulations to report on impact and describe comprehensive solution framework for struggling regions. We also propose unique technology solutions to address this environmental issue.

Measuring success of skill development programs in emerging economies.

Research study with policy framework.

This research study segregates & categorizes emerging economies in separate blocs, engages with stakeholders to define comparative advantages of each economy and compares it against other benchmark economies. Assessment approach is used to understand and measure impact of existing skill development programs while taking into account implementation challenges and road blocks. A quantitative framework is proposed along with prescriptive guidelines to use it. The end idea is to bridge the gap between industry demand and worker’s skills while aligning both of these to larger global landscape. This initiative helps to bring some new approaches and measurement framework to forefront of policy discussion and implementation.

Improving mental health: Self-reflection and recalibration techniques.

Research & scientific study with prescriptive solutions.

This study use meta analysis approach to highlight best practices. Research design is used to seek inputs from various stakeholders. The whole initiative centers around idea of improving mental health without too much reliance on drugs and usual self help approaches. End purpose is to come up with an action oriented framework which can tackle issue of mental health along multiple dimensions in a holistic way.

Low cost personalized healthcare to fight diseases in developing world.

Research study with policy framework.

This paper focuses on application of scientific ideas, production techniques, interdisciplinary knowledge and delivery methods to offer low cost personalized healthcare to fight diseases. Some of the diseases used as case scenarios are more prevalent in developing world, so orientation and focus of this study is towards developing world but our hypothesis is that some of the learning’s may be successfully ported and practiced in western world as well.

Promoting self-reliance to reduce poverty & inequality in world.

Research & scientific study with prescriptive solutions.

This paper discusses concepts of “self reliance & inequality” and its meaning from philosophical, theological, economical & practical point of view in twenty first century. We discuss emerging technologies, trends and social political developments in context of self reliance and compare findings with prominent behavioral, economical and psychological literature. Our idea is to propose and outlay a new theory in self reliance & inequality with wide ranging impact and applications in multiple fields. We specifically discuss application of this theory as related to problem of poverty alienation in both developed and developing world.
